Description

Marshy Point Nature Center is Baltimore County's pristine waterfront nature center, located on the Dundee and Saltpeter Creeks. The 400 plus acre park encompasses a mixture of wetlands and woodlands and thus is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, especially migrating waterfowl. The building provides an exhibit hall, an auditorium for audio-visual presentations, classrooms, outdoor decks with picnic tables and trails are being developed. A canoe dock, overlook and bridge have been added. Guided canoe trips are offered to explore the coastal forests, marshes and shallow waters of Dundee and Saltpeter Creeks. A variety of programs and special events are available for all ages.

Directions

From Baltimore Beltway (I-695) west of Route 43: Take I-695 east to exit 31C for Route 43 (White Marsh Boulevard). Stay on Route 43 for approximately 9 miles to its end at Eastern Boulevard and make a left. Stay left on Eastern and continue east for approximately 2.5 miles, passing Chase Elementary and Eastern Regional Park on your right, and make a right on Marshy Point Road (look for park sign). Follow Marshy Point Road and follow signs, making a left turn into the parking area.
